The editor does editing of the script. Editing is the procedure of
choosing and making audible, written, and film works more sensible and correct,
organized, brief as possible with consistent work and complete work. The
editing procedure generally starts with the writer's creation of the work. The
work begins with the connection of the writer and an editor. The editing profession
includes good relationships with people, precise methods, and creative skills.
There are different
working patterns for editing jobs. A copy-editor works for a magazine, this
profession is completely different than the editor who works on books and
novels. The editors who work at a newsroom are different than one who works in the
fashion industry or business industry. Therefore, there are different roles of an
editor. An editor as a reader has to see all the aspects of the manuscript. An
editor must know how to handle the work depending on its type, including
fiction, journalism, and nonfiction novels.
The work of a copy
editor is to read the written work and make sense of the work, remove
grammatical mistakes, go into the technicalities of the work and make the
content accurate, depending on the guidelines and style followed by the
company. A copy editor can make changes and discuss it with the writer to
follow the recommendations and changes. Based on the kind of publication, the
editor can make the changes and ask the writer to do the same.
A script editor has different
types of duties. Here the editor has to know about the flow of the book or
article and, depending on that, can make the important changes. There are
editors who can make a choice as to what article to publish and which writers
to choose from the work, and are not involved in correcting the work and making
it precise.
Therefore,
an editor as a reader refines the work. The editor gives a definite path to the
story from a movie, a book, or an article. The editor cuts out the parts which
are unessential and lengthening the story unnecessarily. The editor highlights the
important major points, focusing attention to situations where the audience
should concentrate and remain intrigued by the story.

The editor makes sure that the script is in good style and standards. An editor
corrects any inconsistencies in the book, grammar mistakes, spelling mistakes.

person is the last person to check the book. A proof reader compares the work
of the writer with the old version. The work of the proofreader is different
